The Sentry Fireplace Glass Door is a Woodland Direct exclusive. The Sentry design is unique to our web site and offers an amazingly fast build time. Most fireplace glass doors take 4-6 weeks to be custom made. The Sentry fireplace glass door has a build time of just 7-10 days and will ship out 2nd day air. Not only is this door assembled and shipped out fast, its construction is of the highest quality. The Sentry is laser cut from 3/16” steel. There are no welds or seams on the face of the frame. Also, the frame width is customizable. You can select a frame width of 1 ¾” or up to 2 ½ “ (contact technical sales for special situations). The Sentry door can be built in either an overlap fit which rests over the face of the fireplace opening (an overlap fit would apply in instances where you may have a brick or marble fireplace). Or the inside fit that is built to fit in the inside opening and will not protrude out past the facing of the fireplace (an inside fit would apply in instances where you may have a stone fireplace or an uneven fireplace face). When you "inside fit" fireplace glass doors, it is very important that your measurements are exact. There are six finish options available, all of which have a matte or flat sheen to them with a semi smooth texture. On the website, you can select a finish and the picture will change allowing you to see what the finish looks like close up.
A standard feature of the Sentry Fireplace glass door is the hidden draft control located at the bottom of the frame. This allows you to burn the fire with the doors closed. Although this is not recommended with regular glass doors, the Sentry comes standard with ceramic glass. Ceramic glass has a thermal shock rating of 1380 degrees Fahrenheit which is 2x more than tempered glass (standard in all other fireplace glass doors). Options like this make the Sentry the perfect door for those looking to enjoy a large hot fire and still be able to close the doors and head off to bed. Blending the Sentry fireplace glass door with one of our fireplace heater systems would be the closest thing to a wood stove that you can get. With the heater unit you can burn a hot fire with the doors closed, so as not to loose air from the room up through the chimney. You will be maximizing the efficiency of your fireplace and adding a substantial amount of heat to your rooms.
